DataCebo History

Founded out of a lab at MIT, DataCebo began as an open-source project called the Synthetic Data Vault. From 2016 to 2020, the focus was on creating generative models for complex, structured data sets. This effort led to a widely used platform, boasting over a million downloads. Spotting a commercial opportunity, DataCebo evolved to meet the growing needs for advanced data modeling tools, especially within the finance and banking sectors. They recently announced seed funding of $8.5M co-led by Link Ventures and Zetta Venture Partners.

SDV and SDV Enterprise

At its core, DataCebo’s SDV (Synthetic Data Vault) enables businesses to create synthetic data that closely resembles real data but without any of the privacy or security concerns. This technology is perfect for testing applications that depend on data.

SDV Enterprise can navigate through and correlate data across various tables, enhancing the accuracy and usefulness of synthetic data for businesses. It goes beyond simple data types, modeling complex data structures and contextualizing various data categories (for example, phone numbers from certain area code), thus offering a scalable solution for synthetic data generation.

Why DataCebo?

Utilizing probabilistic graphical models, DataCebo offers a fast, cost-effective solution for generating synthetic data, significantly reducing the time and resources required for data modeling. Using probabilistic graphical models, DataCebo provides a quick and affordable way to generate synthetic data, streamlining data generation.

DataCebo has seen notable success, particularly in the financial and insurance sectors, where the demand for sophisticated testing and data-driven decision-making is high. With a keen eye on enterprise data complexities, DataCebo’s offerings are uniquely positioned to support a wide range of business applications, driving innovation and operational efficiency.
